Laser Hair Reduction

Reduction in unwanted hair growth is one of the most common cosmetic procedures done today. Mahinakealo Dermatology has the latest in permanent hair reduction for all skin types, the Sciton Bareit® laser. Bareit®, delivers an ultra-fast treatment due to its extra-large spot size and its motion delivery of energy. The laser can be used on all skin types due to having two distinct handpieces with different wavelengths of light: a single diode 810 nm for lighter skin types or the unique “Blend Technology” with 810, 940, and 1060 nm allowing treatments for darker complexions. In addition, Bareit‘s integrated contact crystal cooling at 5 °C, keeps skin cool and comfortable throughout the procedure. Together, Bareit® represents the state of the art for LHR treatments. Treatment cost is based on the time it takes to treat the area desired. Larger areas or areas with difficult details take longer and are more expensive. Complete hair reduction can take up to 6-8 treatments due to the way hair grows.

These areas are relative short treatments completed in under 30 mins. Prices vary from $100 to $200 per treatment depending on area being treated with 6 treatment packages from $500 to $1000.

45 minute LHR for arms, back, extended bikini, brazilian, chest, face, lower legs or upper legs

These areas take around 45 minutes to complete a single treatment. Price per ranges from $200 to $500 depending on area to be treated with 6 treatment packages ranging from $1000 to $2500.

60 minute LHR for full legs

Full legs take the longest amount of time to complete due to the large surface area and detail needed. These treatments cost $500 to $600 with 6 treatment packages ranging from $2500 to $3000.
